One goal for this website is to introduce the older crowd (60 and up), to X, the largest and most shocking digital news application in the world. I'm currently 55 and I prefer to call it "Twitter" so I will say that, but most others will say X now. That's probably what you should adopt too, unless you just like the sound of Twitter more, as I do. Twitter had tweets, X has posts. If you say either people will know what you mean.
When Elon Musk, a contemporary of mine by age, purchased Twitter a few years ago, we don't believe he had a true idea of what he was getting into nor any idea just how close we were to "losing" an information control war that had been raging for over a decade.
If you were NOT on Twitter back then and you've only read headlines about Musk, Twitter and X, you've likely been misled. It was and is not only the biggest threat to the main stream video and print media, it has in fact already destroyed them, although those without a free account where you can craft your own feed will struggle to imagine that yet.
What you can see, read, listen to, enjoy, discern, challenge yourself with and arbitrate for yourself on Twitter in a matter of minutes, while observing the analysis and opinions of many others is other worldly. It's life changing, and life changing every day you engage with it. There is also a simple, free, built in AI prompt called "Grok" you can use to explore the other side of the rainbow.
If you are not on Twitter, and you feel you are currently "informed" about the world around you locally, nationally or internationally, your first day out may make you feel like you're i an an altered universe. And that's because you are now, and because you are still totally unaware a new one has birthed.
This new one is not remotely clean. It's not settled. It's very turbulent. There is a LOT of turmoil, uncertainty and stress for much of the Western World, but it has birthed and you can tell that because those in the East are living in ways you can NOT fathom today.
The world is no longer as you know it but very worth watching because no record books today convey a story like this as having transpired before -- even though the megaliths and stones clearly say, "it has been here before" and indeed, the world is a theater for sure.
One very fascinating thing about Twitter is the potential to engage with or at least feel closer to celebrities, world shakers, news makers and those that convey it. If you go on some of their feeds, you may see them make posts that only get a handful of comments. And if you ever wanted to share your thoughts or thanks with them, making a comment on a non-busy post may actually reach them. Most will not reply back directtly to people in the audience for varoius reasons -- but many of the players have backup accounts they use to grant acknoweldgements in ways only you'll know about via likes that show privately in your notifications from their backup accounts. Obviously some of those may be fake accounts, so keep that in mind, and geneally speaking, never engage with anyone via DMs, especially those presenting as if they are famous -- but some of these backup accounts may be very real and just extendingi to you a reverse thank you. It's an interesting way to feel more like you too are, indeed, also an important part of the play.
Below are some twitter accounts we encourage you to check out. Many of these people have worked extrelmely hard and overcome mountains to get where they are today, and they are exciting to watch and track.
And one note for those still living in a more politically correct, but far more concealed world. "Anti-Semitism" is something that use to be heavily managed and abided by blindly. Those concepts died a fast death on Twitter during the year of 2025.
As the birth came new, so came an understanding of concern and need for greater balance that prevented people from continuing to turn a blinded eye to that which was in fact "unfair and unhealthy" for the majority.
Some of you may find that change jarring, but that is in fact part of the world that has faded to gray with birthing anew.
Twitter Accounts are free. Sign up, then start following people and accoutns of interest and start crafting your very own news feed. Be sure to follow some of the accounts that share clips about animals and nature too. They provide relief needed to process the new. Nothing compares to what's in front of you now, because "it's a whole new world".
